How we can help

We provide one-to-one therapy and counselling to support you with your mental health during menopause

Menopause (and peri-menopause) marks a time of significant change in your life, and can bring with it a great amount of both physical and emotional turmoil.

Your changing hormone levels during the menopause can affect your mood and cause mood swings and anxiety. But the low mood you might experience with menopause is different from depression. NICE (the organisation that produces guidelines for healthcare professionals) is clear that you shouldn’t be offered antidepressants as the first line of treatment. So talking therapy can be very beneficial.

We’re aware that no two experiences of menopause will be the same. Your personal experience of the menopause will be affected by many different things, not just what is happening to your body physically. Menopause might be one of many events in your life that are impacting your emotional health, and you may also be working and having to juggle lots of repsonsibilities.
